I buy redbull in the 24 pack and it costs about 40 bucks at costco. It sure stimulates u to stay up because it is about $1.5 a pop and if you do sleep...you just wasted 1.5 bucks. However, redbull is not for everyone especially the weak of heart because what it does it stimulates your heart to pump harder. people did die because of redbull so it is not 100% safe. Frappe is about a dollar a pop and doesnt really make you stay awake...cuz its too low in caffeine? Maybe i have too much caffeine.....so a frap is too weak for me.
Doesn't a frappuccino have milk and sugar in it? At last check, milk and sugar is kinda like a 1-2 punch to put you to sleep. I drink RB or Bawls, or if I'm feelin cheap, caffeine tablets and water.
Red Bull is a stimulant... however I don't think you want to use it as a form of staying awake... it can really make the body become incredibly dependent on a particular item - which is never good.
I suggest you go w/ Expresso Beans... they're fun to munch on... and they'll keep you busy... the bad think is however, 25 beans = 180 calories... and there are like 10 servings per package I get at TRADER JOES... so be careful... or you'll definitely be in the restroom the next day :Q
Since I work at starbucks fascist coffee bloatware corporate whore syndacet, I always have straight espresso, like in huge quantaties, its really scary sometimes.
A cheap alternative is coffee of the day from SB. HA...it taste like CRAP-COFFEE but man it has some strong caffeine to make you stay awake. I make my own coffee if had to drink it late late at night and i was out of expresso beans and found some of that coffee of the day. man did it taste terrible...but it did the job.
Just stay on Anandtech... that will keep you up! If it makes you feel any better, I'll always be on to keep you company - See, I had to stay up to read Accounting yesterday, and these ATOT guys, they were so zany I had no CHOICE but to stay up
