You Could Have It So Much Better? With Franz Ferdinand was first spotted on the internet on Saturday despite concerted efforts by the band's record label to keep promotional copies out of the hands of pirates.

Copies sent to reviewers were titled 'C Drive Back-Up' in a bid to disguise the CD's contents from casual observers - but the Scottish rockers have still followed in the footsteps of Coldplay and Paul McCartney by seeing their new material being traded for free before it is officially released.
