Frank's RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce Is WEAK!

I found THIS STUFF at the store and figured I would give it a try. It is pathetically weak, and my tolerance for hot foods isn't even that great, or so I thought. I want something with more kick.

Exactly what i heard. I love Frank's Hot Sauce, although its not very hot, it just has a good taste.

At Sam's Club I found four pound boxes of Margaritaville brand Buffalo Wings, and they come with two sealed packages of sauce. The sauce in those boxes is both hotter and has better taste, but they don't appear to sell it seperately from the wings. 🙁

Franks is great. it has a great taste to it. I like to add a little Daves insanity sauce to it before i throw in the chicken wings.

Franks is all about the taste, not the hotness. I completely agree.

I like it on just about any meat!! Especially chicken though. mmmmm

Yep Franks is all about the taste. Personally I use a combination of of sauces to make my buffalo wing sauce. Here's what I use:

Frank's Red Hot (original recipe) about 1/2-to 3/4 of one of the big bottles
Tabasco Hot Sauce about 1/8 of the bottle
Spontaneous Combustion about 2-3 drops
A dash of garlic powder
A dash of soy sauce
A dash of worcestershire sauce
Combine it all in a sauce pan
Let it simmer for at least 5 minutes. If you want to get it hotter let it simmer more as the less water there is the spicier it gets. Add some corn starch towards the end to thicken it.

Franks's is all about the taste.

For your information, Franks makes another sauce called Franks Red Hotter... that's got about the same hotness as tabasco, and still has great flavor.

Drive out to western NY (Buffalo), and we can educate you on wing sauces.

I like the flavour of Franks, but I agree,it is not hot enough. I add some of this for a little more heat. It is my favorite hot sauce at the moment.

Yeah, you don't get Franks for the spice, you get it for the taste. It has the best taste by far. If you want to spice it up I'm sure there is stuff you can mix it with.

Every true buffalo wing sauce I ever saw started with Franks..... The trick is to find a spice to mix with it.....try carribean jerk, habenero, indian spices, etc....for heat.
