The rocket motor didn't kick in 🙂. If I was standing there, I would get my ass out of there in a hurry too, just in case. Them Canadians are smart.

I don't want to burst anyones bubble but thats the Canadian Millitary and not the French.

It is however a French weapon.

I beleive you are wrong, Raytheon makes the weapon (the javelin) and they are located in the US (Arizona and Florida)

EDIT: ''In 1989, the US Army awarded a contract for the development of Javelin as a replacement for the M47 Dragon anti-tank missile. The JAVELIN Joint Venture was formed by Texas Instruments (now Raytheon Missile Systems) of Dallas, Texas and Lockheed Martin Electronics and Missiles (now Missiles and Fire Control), of Orlando, Florida.''

the stinger is shoulder mounted. why cant it be used against a tank? heck, why cant it be use against anything? point and shoot, right?

I guess you can shoot it at a tank, but you can throw a marshmallow at a tank, too.

It's not an anti-tank weapon and won't go through thick steel. The charges are different. Usually anti-aircraft warheads throw shrapnel, while antitank rounds use shaped charges which inject a stream of copper into the tank.

While not an anti-tank missile, the British Starstreak missile does offer some anti-armor capability.

Did they load a German missile on accident?

German rocket technology rocks the party - it was German scientists who were largely responsible for the early American space travel and ballistic missile programs.

man i was anticipating a cool launch..but that..omg. lol. anticipation leading up to that is just fundamental comedy. 😀

I dont understand what is so funny about the video? 😕 A rocket, capable of blowing up a tank failed to launch and dropped infront of them. You guys expect them not to run? 😕

Q: Why do French Tanks have rear view mirrors?

A: So they can observe the enemy as they're retreating.
