Man this headline scared the sht out of me, I was like what happened in the past 5 hours I was at school ? I thought some country attacked France and now they are going to fire a couple of A bombs here and there!
But still I see that he is overreacting in a scary way . Who is threatning France for God's sake ? A terrorist attack ? By who ? For what ?

it's perplexing, they are part of the EU group telling Iran to give up their nuclear plans, and yet France is spouting off about using nukes. Good confidence building measure right there! NOT.

I know, but for a man like Chirac or at least in the position of Chirac, to even mention national nuclear arms infront of TV cameras he must feel like it's a national crisis or something, you don't go around waving your nuclear penis like that ! I would expect words like that form a 3rd word country dictator, not from a main EU member.

I am really disappointed in Chirac, so he is ready to blow up a whole country and massacare millions in case a couple of lunatics from that country go kill a couple of dozen of french citezens ?

France sucks - I thought everyone knew this? Besides, the only thing France would launch are white flags signaling their surrender.

Perhaps this is only a sign of Frances' true position..........

Think about it, Chirac makes this announcement and then goes into talks about Iran obtaining Nuclear weapons.......maybe they are considering a change in their stance which would lean more to allowing Iran to enrich and a more MAD stance.....

Just a thought.........France has a way of "mincing words" throughout history..........

Bush Sr said the same thing during the first Gulf War... that if Saddam used chemical/biolgoical weapons, he would use nukes.
 
Our guy spouts off like a cowboy, and he gets applause. Someone else says it, everyone is up in arms. Hell most of the people here are always saying we should turn the ME into glass if someone tries it again.

I was thinking they were planning to use their ICBM arsenal to deliver the actual surrender documents. That way, the enemy would get them really fast and thereby avoid any violence.🙂

In the caves of the desert there are no computers therefore ICBM's loaded with surrender leaflets would be ideal for France.

France will be a muslim country in 20 years so it's extremly doubtful muslim terrorist would attack thier own. Maybe they mean against isreal?

As the reality of a possible nuclear terrorist attacks, either thru fission bombs or conventionally detonated nuclear material, countries with the bomb can use the threat of retaliation to hopefully give terrorists pause.
After all you SAY you will do anything.
btw France has a history of a credible nuclear deterrent. One of the reasons for the creation of the "Force de Frappe" was for France to have its own independent nuclear deterrent to possile Soviet Union attack. Seems they didn't trust the US to let NATO launch its nukes if the Soviet Union decided to invade France.
 
Not surprising that they will use nukes. France organzied the Rwanda genocide to pursue its interests, so full-scale nukes are certainly not out of the crazed minds of their politicians. Europe is becoming increasingly more unstable, WW3 is on the horizon.
