Ugh. I thought this UFO thing died in the '80s. People aren't seriously this stupid are they?

stupid that they don't believe that out of the billions upon billions of galaxies and planets out there that there coudln't possibly be another form of life?

That's because some people still think the Earth is the center of the universe!

No, it's because someone from one of those billions of planets wouldn't have any way to get here. And if you assume they used some sort of faster than light drive, then why come all that way and only show yourself to crazy people and cut up cows?

We dont know for sure that life doesn't exist in our own solar system even, yet alone even all the species in our own oceans. Also we are more or less only experienced with carbon-based life. When you change that basis, you open up possibilities that we don't even know how to look for.

Those that insist that any 'UFO' siteing or the belief that extra-terrestrial life exists are simply ignorant.

Our inability to travel faster than light is not a technological problem, it's a physical problem. Show me one single proposed FTL travel device that follows known, tested physical theories (not tenuous, untested/untestable theories) and I'll consider it possible. In the mean time, there is no reason whatsoever to believe that faster than light travel will ever be possible.

FWIW, I believe that there is almost certainly other life out there somewhere, but it has not visited Earth. I can say that with almost total certainty.[/quote]

I've got news for you, it's like this all over the world. The intellectuals willing to suspend the physics we understand to comprehend life outside our planet are outnumbered by those who are ignorant with their own beliefs or can't fathom their "God" would create live anywhere but on Earth.

Oh yeah, and I *LOVE* the "nothing can go faster then light" premise that so many skeptics throw out there. Yeah sure, I'll give you that something traveling over that speed might disintegrate or go back in time or whatever, but who's to say these inter-planetary vehicles actually "accelerate" to that speed? Have any of you heard of using gravity to bend space to the point where space is "pulled" together? We've only been a civilized planet for a meager amount of time compared to other places and as others have pointed out, are still finding never discovered species in the water, air, jungle, and so on.. what makes you think we can fully understand gravity and the fabric that holds the moon, sun, and stars together on a physical plane?

Yes, it's hard to believe without physical evidence, and it's still science fiction to us, but maybe some of you should look into the Disclosure Project with thousands of people who have intimate knowledge of there things but can't "come out" officially about it because of the non-disclosure agreements they've signed in the past. Or read up on Ronald Reagan who claimed many times to have seen a UFO and vowed to bring the information about them to the public, I guess someone inside told him that was a no-no and it never happened, but he STILL attests to seeing one and will openly tell you so.. is he crazy? Is Dan Ackroyd crazy for trying to bring disclosure to the forefront as well? Why is so much information about these things suppressed if there's nothing to fear? Why is this news with France? Shouldn't ALL the countries make their findings public if it's all a farce? Why is it still being debated if all these sightings are just hoaxes, or swamp gas, or weather balloons, or ice on the lens, or.. yeah, there are more excuses then UFO's in the Universe you and I live in.

Wake up people, you don't have to believe, but for you to outright deny it is foolish.

i have seen 2 UFO's on two separate occasions. one was about 7 years ago and the other was about 3 years ago.

I was in the air force for 10 years and have seen every form of aircraft and flight the US has. I can tell you what i saw was not a vehicle made by man.

You know what your looking at too! They don't train the air force like its nonsense either you have to know what your looking at constantly.

If aliens do exist why do they come millions of light years to earth just to meet crazy people and cut up cows? The same reason that our scientist want to discover the depths of the ocean and cut up whatever they find down there! It is all out of curiousity or the drive for more knowledge. Another possiblity is Earth sending too many signals out into outter space that other intelligent life forms picked it up and came to investigate what it was.

People say light travel is not possible because of the laws that we know but there are many things in life that happen that scientist or our smartest humans can not explain why it happen through current knowledge to date. So is light travel possible? Yes, it could be possible but we just do not know as of right now.

Why have we not seen any aliens? My thought maybe the aliens are sending probes to us and these probes send signals back to them? I mean the US launches probally a few hundred probes out into outter space and I am sure if there is intelligent life out there they probally saw one and said "hmm, WTF is that!?!"

I mean these are just my guess' but to rule out any other form of life out there or to rule out that form of life visiting Earth is just absurd... yes they may have never came here in person but probally sent probes here.

Latest count is ~70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (70 sextillion) stars. 20-50% of which have planets.

That's a sexy number.

I dont believe UFOs from other planets are coming to investigate us.

However, im quite convinced that there is life out there.

We will find it on Mars in a matter of a decade or even sooner.

Forget the people in just this thread. There are too many of these people throughout the world!!

I think that there is life all over the universe, but I don't think any intelligent life has made it back here. The distances involved are too great.

Thats pretty much the boat im in, the only way youd be able to make it would be to literally fly a working civilization here over thousands of years.
