France is tooo funny

Linkage

France wants to roadblock this entire operation, but also wants to partake in the rebuilding afterwards.

France has a "moral duty" to participate in the reconstruction of a postwar Iraq, even as it works to block a U.S.-led military strike against Saddam Hussein, French Ambassador Jean-David Levitte said yesterday. Top Stories

France wants to get in on the oil contracts after the war but doesn't want to spend any money getting the dirty work done.

It is in their best interest ... It is also where most of the ousted dictators call home or where they stayed until they could resume activities in their homeland.. so it makes sense to not allow a shooting war... lest they get terrorized too. Fully eighty percent of the French are against US action... In England it is 85 to 90 percent or more against it and they are suppose to be our closest ally. At least here at home only 40 to 50 percent are against it. And Jane hasn't yet said a word... Don't forget to add Russia and Germany... Ya gotta be fair and slam em all.... If China joins the band wagon against us what will become of all those resturants...

So france wants to chip in and help out with the rebuilding of Iraq (it's going to cost a lot)... and the US would like that very much, but you are against it?

And HJD1... China has been on that bandwagon for some time now...

I didn't know that... well now... that means that with most of the world against us we'll save a bunch in foreign aid...

I've been in two minds at my house regarding this French, German, Russian and China anti war position. I think now.. after careful thought... and reflection... If it is invasion then let it be now, if not now then let the pieces fall where they may... bring the forces home... boycott all of our ex allie's goods and services and expand our own mfg. ect... abandon NAFTA and kick all the non citizens out.. Let Sadam and Gadaffi and Bin Laden go for it... Kennedy said it best .. I paraphrase ... Let the word go forth to our friends and enemies alike .... that this administration will regard an attack launched from _______ as an attack on the United States by ____________ requiring a FULL retalitory strike on _______ or the supporting Nation or Nations thereof.... (I also add)... let it end now or let it end then but it will end...!!!! The US may not be able to keep them (whomever) from initiating their evil deeds but it sure can break them of the habit.... with or with out the concurence of our elite and deep thinking ideosyncratic free radical chasing voices of passive reasoning.

If France does not want help now, they dont deserve to help later.

And 98% in Spain, which is another 'supporter' of a US attack...

More heard from the resident blithering idiot.
And tell me professor, just how much of Kuwait's oil did we steal?

Do you have a cite and source for that?

From October

Thanks Zakath!

According to the research by the private Instituto Opina for the daily El Pais newspaper, 70.6% said any action against Iraq should be first approved by the United Nations.

Not quite 98%. 😉

I have always contended that 96.2% of all statistics are made up on the spot! 😎

I always said 67.9483% myself. I've got a few extra sig figures in there, so I think I'm being a bit more accurate 😉

Hammered by rounding AGAIN! 😉

I say if the other Nations of the world does not want to support us now when we ask for support, then we (The U.S. Government) should stop loaning billions of dollars to them when they ask for it.

Also, I do not agree with the Al-Qaeda 'foot soldier' getting the $25 million reward for turning in that Mohammed dude. I mean, if he turned him in on his own free will, then ya maybe. But this dude was captured with several other Al-Qaeda fighters FIGHTING against the U.S.. That is when he decided to talk, to help himself out of a bad situation. Where is the Justice in it all... I was born and raised in the U.S. but will never come close to being that rich, yet an enemy of our country is given $25 million +$2 million in relocation and moving expenses....... (At least he isn't moving to the U.S.) by our own government. That right there really truly pisses me off to know that :| :|

EDIT for typos
