France gets 35% of Libyan oil

Did they negotiate it or steal it? I think Japan did the same thing to us with our Alaskan oil, they forced us to sell it to them. The whole oil thingi is just so corrupt. I hear some countries even have the audacity to burn some of their own oil at home. Meanwhile some termites have moved to a new tree and pigs are planning beta 4 wings.

This is a regime change, it's cute that people are billing The Arab Spring as anything else.

In a few years, you will not be able to tell revolutions occurred, save for instances where secular dictators are replaced by fundamentalist regimes. The end result will be the same.

duh? You guys are fucking kidding right? I have been saying this shit and posting this shit since day one of shit hitting the fan there. This was all about oil access stability for France and nothing else.
 
Duh. Reference the very first Libya war thread where I said we shouldn't get involved because this is France's Iraq, and France sure as hell didn't help us with Iraq.

Now surprise surprise, the US gets no oil from Libya or Iraq, despite massive expenditures on our part.
 
does it matter who gets what oil? I mean isnt global demand global demand and as long as more is pumped then prices will go down to stabilize or rise less quickly?
