Is France trying to block news of the Car plant takeover and how thousands of cars have been set on fire by Muslim Terrorists? Where is the news on this from France?

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2...jul2009/fran-j20.shtml

This is a Socialist Web Site.

Maybe the USA is not reporting on this information because it is the result of a Socialist Economy??

After a review of the article that you linked to - you are fear mongering and stating thins that DO NOT EXIST within the article.

There is no reference to Muslims within the article. The only use of the word terrorists is a statement stating that the workers are not considering themselves as such.

There is not statment indicating that vehicles are being burned.

Why would this being the "result of a Socialist Economy" cause CNN and Fox News not report the news?

Are you fucking stupid? I read the entire article and didn't find reference to "Muslim" or "Islam". I then searched the entire page for both words and didn't find anything either.

God damn you are an idiot.

Whether or not you agree, at least french workers walk the talk. We tend to simply go home and QQ about getting screwed over.

And assuming you want to believe the article (which is full of propaganda anyways), "

The decision epitomizes the arrogance of the auto manufacturers. Renault and Peugeot together took ?6 billion in state bailout funds in January in exchange for promises to preserve jobs and industrial activity."

No wonder they got fucking pissed off

Speaking of stupid, what does walk the talk mean? Also, if the takeover was done by the French, they'd have surrendered by now.

Fired French Workers Win Improved Pay Offer After Bomb Threat
Share | Email | Print | A A A

By Laurence Frost and Mark Deen

July 22 (Bloomberg) -- Fired workers at a bankrupt French auto-parts supplier won severance pay averaging 28,500 euros ($40,500) after threatening to blow up their factory along with components destined for Renault SA and PSA Peugeot Citroen.

Besides average statutory severance of 17,500 euros, each of the 366 workers at New Fabris will be offered 11,000 euros in ?jobseeker aid,? financed through the two carmakers? purchase of equipment and undelivered components, Industry Minister Christian Estrosi said in a statement today after meeting union members from the plant in Chatellerault in western France.

?Resorting to violence is not the solution to a program of job cuts,? the minister said, adding that the lifting of the bomb threat had been ?an absolute precondition to this meeting.?

Workers had vowed to ignite gas canisters at the plant if they didn?t get 30,000 euros each in severance pay. The July 13 threat and its outcome illustrate escalating French labor tensions that have led to a series of ?bossnappings? -- where striking workers take executives hostage until demands are met - - as the economy falters. Local units of Caterpillar Inc., 3M Co. and Sony Corp made headlines this year when their managers were held as police watched from the sidelines.

Just days after the New Fabris ultimatum, some 450 striking Nortel Networks Corp. workers issued a copycat bomb threat against their plant in the Paris region. The Nortel workers ended their strike today after winning assurances they would each get at least 7,300 euros in severance pay plus proceeds from an assets sale, French daily Le Figaro reported on its Web site, citing a union official.

Not Happy

Guy Eyermann, the New Fabris works-council secretary and an official of the Confederation Generale du Travail union, said workers were not happy with the increased offer because factory- floor employees are entitled to far less statutory severance than the 17,500-euro average, even after 20 years of service.

?We removed the gas canisters in order to meet the minister,? he said. ?We made an effort and he didn?t respond. We?ll decide what to do about it tomorrow -- nothing?s ruled out.?

Funny how in the USA knuckleheads call french cowards, but in reality Americans are the biggest bitches of all thanks to dumbass cold war ideology when it comes to economics. Trillions now the corporate overlords have scammed from us and the most middle class America can do is blame each other, oh and the poor/working class. Pathetic. This county is ass-backwards.

I'm surprised that more people aren't calling for a repeat of that nowadays. Off with their heads! :D

Say what you want about the French, but they have been a little better than us in standing up for themselves against their government lately. We seem to be losing that...

Did the OP explain why he thinks that "the US" is not reporting this story because it is a the "results of a Socialist economy"?

Google images used to censor the ABU GHRAIB photos

Capitalists don't want to be kidnapped when the FUCK you and your family and your community

Could you imagine if CEO's of companies like Monsanto were kidnapped when they dumped pollution into communities that gave the children brain damage and birth defects and killed them early?
