Frames to Render Ahead

I remember seeing somewhere that you could adjust the frames to render ahead from the default 3 to 2 or 1. Does anyone know how to do it with ATI and the X1900?

It's called "Flip Queue Size" in ATI Tray Tools.
Yeah but the default setting is undefined so I suspect it's not even used.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but what exactly does this setting do?
It's the number of frames the CPU will render ahead if the GPU stalls. The setting causes mouse lag and should be set to zero whenever possible.

I thought it should be set to one or two and it depends on the game. Also, I think you have to do it slowly and see which one works best. I know Nvidia's default is 3, but since ATI's says Undefined, what setting should I make it?

Eh- play around with it! From 1-5 what the heck. Might find one of those that seems to work better than undefined.

Like said I keep them at zero whenever possible. If you render ahead and your GPU stalls your mouse will lag.
