Fragments of closed windows reappear

So this is really weird and started about a week ago. When I bring my computer up; either from sleep, or just having the monitors turned off for power saving, about half of the time portions of windows I had opened earlier in the day show up on my screen. If I drag another window or move my mouse over the area they go away. I'm not sure if it is my graphics card dying or something else.

My system specs are:
Asus Sabertooth X79
Intel i7 3930K LGA2011
G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 4 x 4GB
Intel 510 120GB SSD
HIS H467QR1GH Radeon HD 4670

I'm running Dual Viewsonic VX2450 monitors and Windows 7 Ultimate.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I checked the fan on the graphics card and it as well as all the other fans are working. After checking temps everything seems to be in the normal range as well so I don't think it is an overheating issue.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Any errors messages on screen when this happens?

If not I would probably try a different graphics driver to see if it is a sleep bug with the drivers.

Also, you can try:

Power Options > Advance Settings > PCI Express > Link State Power Management > Setting: Off

There are no error messages. I updated the drivers and changed the power saving setting.

Below is my terrible quick Photoshop example to give an idea of what is happening. It is now happening too while I am working on my computer. I will minimize Chrome for example and portions of the iTunes window like in the picture will be showing on my desktop even though I closed out of iTunes hours before and it isn't currently open.

This is really stumping me.

I don't know if this will help but it is an idea anyhow...

So a screen cap and save it to a USB stick then view the image on another computer.

To do a screen cap hit print screen, then open a graphics program like irfanview or paint, then hit paste, then save to your stick.

When you take the image to another computer see if it has the artifacts or if it is clean, that should narrow it down a bit.

Does it still do this if you close Chrome? If not, then it could be Chrome itself, or Flash, or Java. With Chrome open, while experiencing the artifacts, close all open tabs one at a time and see if the artifacts go away.
