Hey

I'll be buying a gaming pc. I am picking Asus GTX 1080 TI Strix Gaming OC as my GPU and my case would be Fractal Design Define C.

Now I'm worried that GTX 1080 TI isn't going to fit in the case.
Measures of GTX 1080 TI: 29.8 x 13.4 x5.25 Centimeter
Measures of Fractal Design Define C:
  • Graphics cards up to 315mm in length with front fans mounted
Is less than 2 centimeters too little room to be left? Should I opt for a bigger case?
In the future, will the GPU's keep expanding or are they finding a way to make them even powerful, but at the sametime reducing the measurements?

Thanks y'all.

Well, the specs you already found show that it will fit. So it will be fine.

Here's what it will look like:

From what i gather high end cards are often large for cooling purposes more than anything else. Cards have been close to 30cm for a long time, and I don't see any reason why they should get larger. Some companies make smaller high-end cards too. Zotac recently released a 1080 Ti that's only 21cm long.

Nice, thanks for your reply. I haven't played on a PC for at least a 5 years so I'm not really up-to-date with gpu size and such. But you cleared things up for me, appreciate it!
