As you can see by my computer specs i don't think i have a crappy set up here. But i did a timedemo from this site and i got only 40FPS (afterwards not the whole way through) on Half-Life 2...
Settings I Have for HL2:
1024x768
AA = 4x
AF = 8x
everything else defaulted to DX9 (if any questions about the defaults please ask)
i lowered the AF to 4x and 2x then finally Trilinear*. i only got a 4-7FPS increase at the end in the console message. i then left it at trilinear and set the AA to None*, it went to 52 or 57 FPS (can't remember).
This card is built by ATI and is brand new just started using it this month i have overclocked it a little bit with Rage3d to 382/684... The reason i have not gone any higher is due to the fact that i do not know my video card's limits and from the touch of the top of the card it's pretty warm if not "hot".
all responses are welcomed, thanks
