What kind of frames per second can I expect with Stalker on my system?

1680 x 1050 no AA, no AF, medium quality?

Same as above, but with everything on high?

Thanks.

Medium should run okay, depending on the lighting you use. The best lighting, dynamic I think won't be doable. High will be choppy too. At least, that's how it worked for me and my 8800gts 320mb at that resolution, with a x2 3800+ @ 2.6ghz. You've gotta tweak the settings very carefully, then you'll get good performance and nice eye-candy.

I get 35-45 FPS (depends heavily on the area you're in) @ 1280x960 with most settings on medium with a system identical to yours except stock clocks. This guide is pretty handy.

MarcVenice is right--the lighting is crucial, in this game, to performance. Dont go with the full quality--that X1950XT will probably have issues at that resolution.

You could probably use Object dynamic lighting. Once you drop to static lighting, it runs fast as all hell, but looks pretty dated, cause it's DX 7 or 8 (can't remember which) then. I started it up again last week and had hoped that I could play with dynamic lighting after supposed optimizations in patches. So I set it to Object dynamic lighting, mid-low details, 1680x1050, and although it was playable most of the time, it was a bit choppy too often for my likes. So I didn't have much else to do besides lower the resolution which I didn't want so I just had to use static lighting, but then I can up other details since it is very fast on static.

The reason I mention this is if my rig was somewhat close to handling Object dynamic lighting at 1680x1050, you should be able to. Your CPU is a good bit faster and a X1950XT is much faster than my 7800GT.

Object dynamic lighting is what I use (E6420 + X1950XT) ... it's a good compromise.
