I am trying to upgrade my computer for that big step in everybody's life, college. I want to get a top-of-the-line video card to go along with my computer, but a) its too expensive and b) they're all too loud! I can't stand loud fans, especially because I'm going to be studying alot in my room (gogo medical school) so I don't want to hear my computer whirring.
I want to get a card that will last me for at least 4 years through college, not TOO expensive ($500 is really pushing it) and isn't too loud. I am getting a new mobo with PCI-E support. The games I'm playing are WoW, BF2, and in the near future, Black and White 2. Can anybody suggest a card that will give me good FPS and won't blow my ears off?
Btw, I have my eyes on the HIS x800xl (its a little weak) and the eVGA 7800gtx (Its a little expensive/loud).
