Neither has any technical advantages over the other, it's whatever you're used to. Training your mind to use the opposite of the familar is hard. But looking at hand movement on a mouse, you could make an arguement that its easier to move the mouse forward than backwards, and then look into which movement is used more for gaming, but that would be kinda pointless =P

inverted for me, been using it ever since Quake.

Why? Because when you lean back in your chair you'll look up right? Lean back in your chair and you move your hand backwards, lean foward (down) move your hand up. Kinda like flight sims.... goofy logic but works for me

I've been used to inverted since Jedi Knight. Then I got used to normal playing CS, cause I forgot to change it. So basically I'm good on both.

Funny, can use inverted for Flight Sims but not for FPS games & vice-versa. To everyone there own I guess.

Whats inverted and whats normal? Can you guys refresh my memory? I play UT, when my mouse moves up my view moves up, and vise versa, so is that normal or inverted?

Yes thats "normal", think of inverted as how you control an airplane.

Well how do most of you use your mouse at your desktop? I bet all of you use normal. It just seems natural for me to think of my opponents as icons on my desktop. Then I use a natural movement to get the cursor over their face.

I tryed normal once and I was banned from the server, apperently they have a rule where you have to frag at least one person before dying 90 times
