Hey guys,
Just going out of town for a week and will have alot of down time. I'm trying to find a good FPS or something similar that would be decently playable on a laptop. I was thinking single player since might only have dialup access or maybe none at all.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thx in advance.

Specs on the laptop?

A laptop might be better suited for a different genre of games such as strategy. First person shooters /w a touchpad suck.

any single-player fps like doom3, farcry or halflife2 should be fine as long as your hardware supports it.

Yeah, I know. I used a thumb trackball for a long time and I"ll prolly take that w/ me to use. Counter-strike and BF2 are my desktop pics, just thought those wouldn't be very playable on the laptop. It has an Athlon 64 M 3200 and ATI mobility 9600; I'm pretty sure it could play CS, but might not have net access and BF2 I don't think will like the lower 512MB of ram and older gpu compared to the desktop machine.

I was just looking for the possibiliy others had found something maybe a 'lil older and less resource demanding that wouldl run nicely on it. (and not net dependent)

Thanx tho, you too Swift.

Half Life 2 will run very well on a 9600. Also try Unreal Tournament 2004 if you have online access, even if you don't, the single player aspect will give you a serious challenge on maximum difficulty.
