fps cut in half

Anything that would cause FPS to drop in half when you are overclocking?
E6600 @ 3.4 1.46v. with P5Bdeluxe.
 
Overheating, perhaps. I'm pretty sure Core 2s also have thermal throttling so if your heatsink is not making proper contact that could be it. I'd check on the ram too and perhaps disable speed step.
 
nothing overheating, not even close to over heating. Everything was fine and last night turned on the computer and my fps were half of what they were.

Did you enable V-sync in Video driver options?

same setup here,
when overclocking,
the pci express running at 1x 🙁
