FPS capture the flag ?

maybe tommorrow night then 😉

i'm 512/128 ADSL which is bearable for CS:S (just, ping is about 340 usually :|), would UT be too fast paced for me with a ping like that, i know it's a lot quicker gameplay wise than CS:S?

I don't do leagues. I just want to frag and chat. I play CS:S right now, I found it to be one of the more challenging FPS games I've played. I play on a pretty good server.

The one thing I hate in every FPS game is bots. You don't play multiplayer just to play against bots. And the bots are always pathetic compared to humans. Supposedly they are making the AI better in the next UT, but I don't want better AI. I just want to play with non-retarded players 😛

And do not waste your money on Tribes Vengeance. It was supposed to be a great game until VUG screwed it up.

T:V sucked out of the box. I didn't play Tribes, but if T:V is anything like them in gameplay then I can't understand why pepole liked it. A guy swoops in at 120mph, grabs the flag, and in about 7 seconds he caps it. And I didn't hit him once because all the weapons are slow-moving projectiles. It's hard enough hitting someone at that speed with a sniper rifle, but every other weapon in that game is worthless. Getting high score with 17 kills makes for a very boring game.

TFC! Play TFC! That's some good CTF action (more interesting than other CTF games, anyway).

EDIT: Acronyms, right. TFC = Team Fortress Classic. It comes with Half-Life or an Steam purchase (Silver or Gold) of Half-Life 2. It's also guaranteed to run on your system. 🙂

If you play leagues , you fill encounter an entirely new level of skill. The ability difference in top level league players and pure pubers is quite simply... enormous
