FPS anomality

I have a GeForce 2 Pro (OC'd). I've downloaded the Splinter Cell demo. My FPS is usually fine, but when I look at windows, it drops quite a bit. Then, when I turn away from them, it's like a bungyrope that releases, and the FPS rockets. Is it normal for the demo, or is it something with the GF2 technology that can't handle the windows? (Among other things).

i havnt downloaded it or anything, but perhaps the windows involve more intricate details rahther than just being windows
are there reflections, glares?

if there is more information to process in a window (glass can be quite complex in its deflection of light if they featured something like that in the game) and maybe it takes more power to process a window (the see through window, whatever else you can see through it, whatever you can see reflecting)

It contains reflections (even at pitch black conditions, LOL). It's kind of weird, it just doesn't feel right that the windows decapitate the FPS so badly...

dude its just your card, geforce 2 isn't the most powerful anymore...thats your problem..i have a geforce 4 ti4200 and its perfect even with aa on and everything maxed...
