Over the years I've had name brand PSU's and off brand PSU's and as long as you way overestimate the wattage you need, you'll probably be fine.

I'm currently running an Enermax 350w PSU with an Athlon 2000, 80gig HD, DVD burner, ATI AIW 8500DV, a SCSI card, a UV CC light, and 4 fans. I have no problems at all... :D

Foxconn I believe is actually Allied just rebadged. They have it for sale over at newegg, I was planning on getting the 450W version myself pretty soon. It has good reviews and costs much less than the Antec/Enermax brand names.

of all the lower priced, high quality, generally made for OEMs power supplies, Foxconn/Allied, Delta Electronics, and Heroichi Electronics make good ones. So do Fortron/Sparkle/Powerman (FSP Group).

Yeah Antecs and Enermaxs are good, but they are distributors, so however actually manufacturers them do the good job.

I've heard many stories of the Allied / Foxconn / Deer power supplies going *poof* in some systems. Stick with a good name like Enermax or Antec.

There were a lot of posts about Antecs popping within a minute of being plugged in!

Last month I ran across a 550W EPS Enermax PS that wouldn't power up a board and it started squealing like a boxcar full of pigs going to the slaughterhouse. I pulled the plug and RMA'd that bitch! :Q

It's surprising as these things appear to have some QC stamps on them, i.e. hi-pot test and burn in test.
