basically it posts coreectly and loads vista 64bit fine. but once i shut it down and try and turn it back on again it wont send a signal to my monitor so i dont if its posting or not and i have to reset CMOS for it to repost and boot. but everything works fine once in... any suggestions?

no oc? you don't see the bios screen, even? it won't show the bios screen if u hit del right after reset?

seems to be a sync problem with monitor... i have a old 19in lcd that won't sync on some cards unless they are set to 1440x900 first then plug the lcd in... have u tried turning off the monitor, starting pc, then immediately turning on monitor?

I get "FF" error (read from LED) - no display after changing bios setting with this motherboard, then I must press reset button on the case to continue.
My bios firmware is P07

this board has problems with cold boot and changing bios settings

its a great board tons of features, but having to reset all the time due to boot problems gets rather annoying, this is the reason i kept the MSI K9A2 Platinum as my main rig's board.

Is this firmware bug or hardware design defect ? I also got similar problem with P06 firmware, even harder for resetting.
I prefered to buy this mobo rather than Biostar 790GX 128M because of its all solid state caps (there are only some SS caps on the Biostar mobo) but I was wrong. This mobo is really a nightmare for me. in addition, I am using X-Fi elite pro pci sound card, hence I am unable to use pcie slot 4(blue slot). The chipset heatsink is so close to pcie slot 1 (blue slot), Zalman VGA cooler VF900-CU prevents me to install Video card in pcie slot 1 due to big screws. I must accept 8x link width of pcie slot 2 or 3 (black slots). Do you know a way to get 16x link width with slots 2 and 3 (I use single video card)?
