Mulling this one over for a nice Phenom 2 setup.


Is this worth the extra 30 bucks over the rest of the 120ish 750SB boards?

I personally wouldn't buy it. It says it only supports up to 1066 memory (does that mean you can't overclock to higher than 1066 speeds??). Unless you have 4 graphics cards you want to put in there.

Looks like a good price. If you don't need all those features, the 790gx is nice too.

From this thread, here I looked at the combo's for the 920 CPU and I saw the 920 with this Foxconn A79A-S AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX for 233.99. That's the cpu for 133.99 and the motherboard for 100.00

It's a 70.00 combo savings, which amounts to the same 30.00 off for the CPU in the above thread and then 40.00 off for the motherboard. That 30.00 coupon code doesn't work in the combo deals.

I am thinking of getting this, any thoughts if this is a good board for the 920 Phenom ll for 233.99?

nice, I bought the cpu for my new asus 780G micro board,

some of the combo deals dont seem to make sense to me.. with the old 6100 gigabyte board in the combo deals really handle a Phenom II?
