Well it is interesting how life gets into the way of things! Received RMA info from the egg and it was shipped out Monday 02/02 for scheduled delivery the following Monday. With the two day turn around I figured I wouldn?t have it back until sometime around the latter part of the week of 02/16.

Then I happened to be hitting newegg's open box area when I found one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?Item=N82E16813131330R , so as it turns out the egg will change from replacement to refund on the foxconn and have ordered the Asus. Fickle aren?t I?!?!?!

So this is the end of my adventures with the foxconn A74MX-K?? which is not a bad inexpensive mobo by any means! If you?re thinking about one I?d say give it a try as I would have kept mine if I hadn?t gotten so impatient.

Keep in mind you're likely to be missing various accessories with Open Box items. Not always, but just be prepared.

As part of the roller coaster ride that getting four builds reworked over the past 2 - 3 weeks I had thought of that. I'm ridding high on getting this board, some g. skill PC-8500, and a 7750 to put in it.

Was even more excited when I found a box at the back door from Whittier, CA this afternoon and then did the crash and burn when I opened it. No I was not one of the privilaged that gets the whole 9 yards.....it was just a bare board. The hard part will be tracking down the I/O plate, but the "salt in the wounds" is the fact that its NB location and mounting holes will not let me use the water block I have for a NB. :frown:

I had just finished modding the water block as I bought it "used" and when it arrived realized it was set up for an intel board.
