awesome, gonna pull the trigger

EDIT: ordered, thanks again OP I was looking for an excuse to upgrade, $299 for 640mb of DX10 goodness was more than enough of an excuse.

And the good thing is with SLI with 2 of these, you are like paying for one GTX card. And you can keep your coffee warm on your PC case. 🙂

I thought this was good price. Better hurry before this is posted on Fatwallet or Slickdeals.

good catch, I almost got upset that I didn't get the EVGA, but if it only has half as much memory for the same price, then the foxconn is a much better deal.

If this card is only the 320MB version, no one should get screwed. NE will more than likely cancel your order without any issues.

nice price, but either way, might as well just wait for the 8900's that will be out in a few months, will probably spank the 8800's just the same as the 7900 did to the 7800.

There was no waiting two months for me. I sold my 1950pro agp when my MB blew a cap. I've been working from my backup sys since. Last thing on my list was a new card.

number 40 in the support queue, nice.

not only am I not getting what I paid for, I have to waste my morning waiting on a support analyst.

The price we pay for good deals.

EDIT: Canceled

That depends largely on what the 8900 refresh will be. I'm pretty sure I read the first refresh will simply be a GDDR4 upgrade with maybe a slight increase in core clock with a much later refresh bringing a new core revision and possibly a die shrink (Q3, G81). If that's the case it'll only be a marginal increase in speed as the GDDR3 speeds on the GTX are pretty close to what's expected on the RD600 GDDR4 part. Unless there's a change in the core or shader processor architecture I wouldn't expect the 8900 to spank the 8800.
