A question to notfred... how come if I deleted all the pics from my account, it still says im using something like 2megs? Just curious.

Hmm... I dunno, bug in the software? It should only be a few K for an empty account. I'll look into that once the new server is up.

I just deleted all the pics from my account with only 1 empty folder remaining. It says 1616KB space used. 🙂

There was a 1.55mb zip file stuck in your account somehow in a place it shouldn't have been. I honbestly don't know how it got there. I've deleted it, let me know if you have any more problems.

What exactly is involved in moving the site? Too bad the gallery software can't be altered to spread the load across multiple hosts.

Logging into the old server, generating the backup file. Then me logging into my server, downloading it direclty from the old server, and restoring the backup file. Thats it. Apart from the fact that it needs ImageMagick so I had to install that on my server before having Ross change the DNS zones.

I can't upload files now to my fox302 account. It says internal server error. It's been happening all day. Anyone else?

My account is working fine. Could you try it again and see if it's still broken? If it's still not working, PM me your username for the site and I'll see if there's a problem with your account.

notfred,

I just tried it again and it seems to be working now. I'm sorry for the hassle. 🙁

Thanks for your service, and your patience.

No problem. We did jsut switch servers so I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple problems over the next day or two.

Thanks. I'm thinking about taking the functionality of This page and adding into the main part of the site so that users can resize thier images without having to have thier own image editing software...

Well that does not sound hard at all. And the backup file is complete? They backup the db's too?
