Well, thank goodness they used a question mark!
But that doesn't explain the sheer insanity of Fox News and this screen on 9/15/14 while talking about U.S. inaction militarily against ISIS. The bottom caption says, "No military action against ISIS yet, despite coalition to fight terrorists" while simultaneously showing a side bar labeled FOX FACTS "Military Action Against ISIS" and the first fact is "U.S. has conducted at least 160 airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq"
Guess the bottom caption could have used a question mark, too, eh?
Maybe the caption should have referred to what country was being discussed. Kind of hard to determine what the caption refers to when there is no sound. Airstrikes in Iraq had been underway, Syria not so much. But hey gotta love that liberal outrage.

It isn't just Fox News, but all American news networks. Yes, Fox has an obvious slant to the right and then, almost in an act of facetiousness, claim to be fair and balanced. Any news network that would hire Rachel Maddow, also is obviously slanted as well.
It is the job of the media and the press to report facts and the truth in service to the citizens of this country to keep them informed. It is not there to play politics or interject personal opinion and ideologies in the guise of journalism. All media outlets serve the will of and follow the agenda of their owners. It is used to shape the zeitgeist and manipulate public discourse by spinning the language, distorting or perverting the facts, focusing news attention on things that are meant to distract or invoke a particular emotional response in the public etc.
The news media outlet, whether conservative or liberal, is delivering news in a way similar to how store fronts sell things out front to hide the mob operation in the back room. The reality of it is that money and consolidation of power are the ones that are shaping the content broadcasted to manipulate, distract, and control the public.
The press doesn't do what they existed to accomplish in the first place anymore, to give a voice to the common citizenry. Now it simply exists as a sycophant which is channeling propaganda.
The problem is that there seems to be a growing trend in this country that all opinions are valid, regardless if they are supported by facts, figures, science or reality. Fox News is a symptom of that trend. It panders to Middle Americans who like to get enraged whenever they are presented with something that contradicts what they already "know" to be true, based on their "common sense".

The biggest cause of the increased oil production is sustained higher oil prices. A lot of this new development in the US can only operate profitably when the price is over $50 barrel.

So was what I posted. It was taken directly from MSNBC from the looks of it. And MSNBC was at least unbiased enough for a second to point out it was a mistake and it happens to all of them from time to time.
But don't let that get in the way of the liberal outrage.

Fox News is clearly biased...and I'm not arguing otherwise. However, Detroit News, Fortune, NPR, Forbes, CNN, etc., etc. have all speculated on the potential adverse affects of lower oil prices. But when Fox News does it...well that's different...at least within the depraved minds of partisan hacks who cannot help but salivate and froth at the mouth in outrage at the mere mention of their name. Surely the Pavlovian "intellectuals" among us can find better examples of Fox News bias...examples which are much less embarrassing to themselves that won't so thoroughly expose the true depth of their limited intellectual capacity. No?

I know that oil prices are tied to the global market. The decrease in oil prices are due to cutbacks in use in other industrial nations. Consequently the global price of oil is not Obama's credit or fault. This is an item traded on the open market and subject to speculation and manipulation of supply and demand.
Note I said nothing about Obama's oil policy which I have no personal problem with. What you might have missed was my comment about needing cheap energy which is something other than fossil fuel. Ideally we would be off national grids and generating power through alternative means with a more robust topology. The Grid has become very complex and vulnerable and producing one's own energy should be obvious, if it's inexpensive. If single installations were to prove disadvantageous then a network of local clusters of power sources would provide redundancy without the need for a completely interconnected system.
All of this was being thought about during the Carter years and it's fallen to the wayside ever since. If we had invested the resources appropriate to such a task over the last 40 years who knows what we might enjoy today? We might have avoided trillions in wars and who knows how many deaths? The side discoveries might have been of incalculable value. What happened instead? Drill baby drill.
