Canadians have a law against the news telling lies

This news is so old it doesn't even merit moving to P&N.

Eh, I got news for you, they're all six and one half a dozen of each other. FOX gets all the attention but by no means is it the exception. It's the norm. Media on both the left and the right have drawn to tabloid style yellow journalism like a moth to a flame.

The news doesn't really tell lies anyway. They stretch the truth all the way around the lie they'd like to tell, but anything they say that is untrue is merely a misreported error...to be retracted after everyone is too invested to readily let go of it.

Should watch the O'Reilley factor then

My favorite one with fox news is how there were like 5 republican gay sex scandal (one, mark foley, involving children) in a row, and every single time, they put a 'D' next to their names.

Here's the Foley one:

Edit: Hahahaha, this search:

https://www.google.com/search?num=1....,cf.osb&fp=f736a641b8720408&biw=1536&bih=760

Fox news lists the following as 'democrats'

Mark Sanford (after his sex scandal)
John McCain
Mark Foley (after his gay sex scandal with young boys)
Arlen Spector

Yeah, fox news is a 'legitimate' news source.

This. Fox News is no worse than any of the other major news stations.

Have you guys seen Canadian news? Every time I stumble across an American news show, I think I've hit some horrible reality circus show or something for a couple seconds. News up here is so much more staid, US stuff wierds me out.

Its not like the Internet is really much better, especially if you're around people that will only follow horribly biased sources. I stopped pointing out people's Facebook link problems when they couldn't even keep basic facts of the stories consistent (one place would cite another and then write their own article and get stuff like names, places, and things like that wrong while adding a bunch of rampant speculation).

Don't agree. I think CNN and the others are a joke too, but Fox is by far the worst of them all.

if you can't admit that Fox is, by far, the worst at manipulating, or outright lying about news to suit their agenda - then your mind is broken

Interesting thesis. It's nice that it's applicable to every disputed piece of information, and always leaves you being right.

99 percent of the problem with news/press these days is not with the way they mangle and twist the news they cover, it's with the news they don't cover.
