News should be reported to the public in an objective manner; correspondents and anchors should present the facts without interjecting their own opinions. When the Iraqi foreign minister gives a speech at the UN and the Fox anchor after the speech says to the camera "we just heard a piece of work", Fox is no longer being objective.

While I tend to agree with their bias, that Palestinian terrorists are scum and the Iraqi regime is scum, I believe Fox lacks credibility as a legitimate news source. Of course, since everyone here on ATOT already knows that, I suppose I'm just pissing in the wind as I continue to watch Fox anyway (they have some pretty hot reporters..)

They are all biased in one way or another whether it be Reuters refusal to call terrorists terrorists, Ted Turners banning of the word foreigner at CNN, Peter Jennings description of the 1994 elections as "the voters had a temper tantrum", CBS's Dan Rathers on air fight with George Bush (the father), or the example on Fox in the first post.

At Fox that is a daily if not hourly occurence.

And all the time I thought Fox's major contribution to the news business was to figure out all the different ways they could display reporters legs. ;)

haha. It's funny how if a news channel reports something that you disagree with, you call them bad. Why are they the worst? Because they are about the only news station that is actually semi-conservative and you are a crybaby-democrat?

CNN is just as biased as ABC,NBC,FOXNEWS,CBS and all the others. They are all biased in one way or the other.

BTW I like hearing the Fox commentators opinions. I don't have to listen to CNN babble and try to sneak their bias in. Fox does it outright.

BTW I always watch Fox. I only watch CNN if I am forced to.

My favorite was that CNN political analyst (older guy, balding, short) who was asked what would happen if the Republicans won majorities in both the House and Senate in 1994. He replied, "Be scared. Be VERY scared." Nice way to remain objective.

A better answer would have been, "We'll probably see more Republican-authored bills pass through with minimal interference from the Democrats."

So there is ONE place to get a conservative bias in the news. I watch Fox because every other channel forces its owner/anchorperson liberal views down your throat... I was happy to find a conservative channel. All news is biased... all people are biased.... get used to it.

This is too funny, you honestly think that ANY major news station in the U.S. is reporting news in an objective manner. BS! Every flipp'in news station says exactly the same thing with very little if any variation. They are doing nothing more than reporting what the State Department wants disseminated.

If you don't like Fox news... then don't watch it. In my senior year of high school my video production class went down to NYC to see what it would be like in an actual studio, so we got to run the cameras/teleprompter and we where actually on TV for a little bit... we met the anchors as well. I don't remember who exactly the news anchors where at the time I went down there, but I do specifically remember E.D. Donahey (SP.)... just cuz she was wicked hot.

Anyways, one of the things they told us when we where down there was that their point was to be less-cordial than the other stations. CNN Is the one that gives you the serious news every minute, they give you the news without their opinion. When fox does it they give a little bit of the everyday guy's view rather than the congressmens view. They ask questions I'd ask and I'm 19.... Most of the stuff that CNN asks in an interview is friggin' greek to me and I can't understand what they're asking. Fox is simplified and adds comedy to their work. Making it appealing to me. You don't like fox... go watch CNN, so you can watch every 15 minutes the exact same thing over and over again every 15 minutes. While I watch the spontainious stuff on Fox.

Shut up and get over it.
