Fox News get their ass handed to them on their Baltimore coverage

Flipping through the "news" channels just now, MSNBC & CNN are still covering/discussing the story...FOX has moved on. So predictable.

they are showing it and other things. My big complaint about the media (all channels) is they get on something and stay on it until it's dead. cnn and MSNBC have pretty much just had this story on. nothing else..

If by "showing it" you mean it's on their "crawler" at the bottom of the screen, They've basically dropped it for the most part.

They have an agenda, which does not in any way, shape or form include factually reporting the news. Every word that comes out of their talking head's mouths are meant to further their conservative ideologue agenda, truth be damned if it (quite often) gets in the way.

So, what you're saying is they are exactly like all the other channels covering "news". Got it.

I think my criticism is mostly based on someone who wants his assumption of the situation broadcasted out to the world ahead of someone else's assumption of the situation. And thinking it makes him a better person for shouting the other person down.

Either everyone has equal right to fight for their assumptions to be spread.

Or everyone respects each other and waits for the facts to come out.

It goes for Geraldo, it goes for his heckler in the video, and it goes for a lot of people on this forum.

No they haven't. While i loath to defend fox they are showing it. Is it as much as cnn or msnbc? heck no. not even 1/10 the amount. but they do talk about it. Also their are other stories going on. NO channel needs to be on this 100% of the time.

And when they talk about it what are they talking about?

Which is why I said they have "basically dropped it", I will predict tonite the opinion shows hosts will "point/spin their coverage to question the prosecutor's motives, etc. Anything that won't question the officers charged in the case.

EDIT: It is an election cycle now, they might go against their normal pattern.

What would be the narrative the other news channels are pushing that's equal to fox's sensationalism and antagonism?

You can't see it because of your ideological blinders, but every other network is essentially the same as fox, just various degrees of ideological leaning to the left instead of the right.

"You can't see it because of your ideological blinders,,,,,,,," You are funny.

haha, another typical OP fail. What's the obsession with fox news anyway?

The word "news" implies that they are have something to do with "news".

In reality they are a propaganda broadcaster with everything spun.

People do not like wolves in sheeps clothing, makes them uncomfortable.

Of course, that's why I asked you to point it out. Now how long should I wait for you to give me an example? Or is your bubble harder to pierce than mine is?

If our blinders prevent us from seeing the truth about "every other network", then please tell us about them, complain about "every other network" when they are spewing propaganda.

I believe that all "network news" is propaganda, bullshit, and/or garbage. They are different, but all exually invalid.

You have your cnn which is just garbage

You have your MSNBC which is just bullshit

You have your fox news with is just propaganda and bullshit

The common defense anybody uses for fox news is to say "others are equally terrible". This is not a valid defense. It is further proof of guilt.

That is like a murerer who says they are OK because somebody else murdered somebody also.

If you look in the toilet and see 3 turds, it does not mean that one turd is now somehow food. It means that they are turds, so flush that shit away.

OH LOOK....the 515th time he has posted this picture,,,,,,,

trouble is it wasn't just fox news. ALL of them fit his rant. He is also correct in the rant.

It seems today "news" is only bad shit. Then they harp on that for days. Good news? hell sometimes you find it on the local news. IF it's on the big news channels its just a short blurb in passing.

The media today is fucked up

The question I have is can we really blame the media or is it really us? Bad news sells, we watch it. How many more of us would tune in to see a train wreck than a heart warming good news story?

I think it's society. Though it totally turns me off. I can't watch to much news or i start to get upset.

people want to see disasters. We had a tornado come through a few weeks ago. a bunch of houses were knocked down etc. We had a stream of people coming through just to look.
