Fox News blatantly lying about Biden's executive orders on guns.

Channels can't be changed. They are right in front of ellipticals and treadmills
You don't have to look, and you can wear a portable for music... that's what I do. Anyway, my gym never puts on Faux News. They put on sports this and that and that is all.

They need to be careful how far they go here.

Some of these proposals will generate lots of anti-Biden and anti-Democratic party votes in the 2022 and 2024 elections. I think it’s a greater than 50% chance he won’t run again. But this kind of stuff could increase the House and/or Senate to switch to Republican in 2022 and cost the Dems re-election in 2024
The specifics I heard seem popular. The statements by Republicans condemning what Biden's doing strike me as knee jerk and completely inaccurate. I don't think it's automatic that Democrats are losing net votes by virtue of this. But I didn't hear about eliminating protections for gun manufacturers.

We'll be fact-checking Faux "news" more often than the President at least. Biden should be easier to keep an eye on with stuff he says/claims/proposes than the last clown. Obviously.

Oh NO! A Gun Control advocate running the ATF!??? INSANE!!!!

lol. how fucking stupid do you have to be to wet your pants over this shit?

It‘s remarkable that they didn’t notice/care when Trump appointed an anti-gun head of the ATF, banned bump stocks via EO, and said to take the guns first and get due process later. I think he said some negative things about the 80% kits too.

Lol you should see some of the gun subreddits, people are losing their minds about braces being potentially banned. File a Form 1 you cheap fucks. When I hear "but muh costs to pay the tax" and I see easily a grand plus worth of accessories hanging off a braced gun my eyes roll so hard.

I have zero sympathy if all the braces have to go in the trash since it was obviously an end run around doing an SBR.

Gun accessory companies spend time and energy developing accessories that are clearly and painstakingly obviously designed to skirt current gun law, and then the gun nutters start raging as soon as legislation takes notice and catches up. These people are so fucking stupid.

Yeah and mostly those business plans rest on something as flimsy as a memo from the ATF about how they're feeling at a given time about such accessories. Braced guns have proliferated at the outdoor range I head to when I want to shoot my rifles. Everybody is shouldering them so nobody tell me that they don't solely exist to circumvent the NFA because I'm not buying that horse shit.

I've seen the exact same thing at my rifle range. These guys laugh and strut around like they're badasses (Mah rights! FREEEDOM. 'Murika) skirting the law and then rage when the law catches up. It's absurd.

I have earbuds for music. I'll watch the screen just to compare how days news is covered. I often see Fox looking for base pleasing stories ignoring the biggest story of the day. That day I yelled at the screen because of the outright lies. People really need to know how the brainwashing works.

Did we need more than first four words in the thread title? Hell we could treat it like the p&n thread just keep adding new entries.

Oops - Bryce beat me to it. That's what I get for not reading the whole thread first lol. Was just too obvious.

I sometimes post without scouring a thread, fully aware I may have missed important info within. I think sometimes it's OK to do that. You didn't pollute the thread with your post, you just confirmed the validity of the idea.

I never watch Fox News partly because I only get OTA free antenna TV. I found out about FN in this forum, mostly. Occasionally they'll flash a few seconds of FN on network TV, and it's always something guaranteed to increase your blood pressure by 10% if you think about it much. I got the impression that FN is uniformly reprehensible in the extreme but then there was that one FN guy who did a decent job in moderating one of the presidential debates IIRC, so evidently their personnel are not uniformly disgusting. Apparently the great majority is, however. Hannity, Carlson, many others I have seen in shortish clips mouthing hideous lies. I don't know how people can stand it. A friend of mine, a recently retired plumber, suggested I call a guy he knows because I have a plumbing issue now. He tells me the guy would probably be reasonably priced but he told me the guy watches Fox News. I told him I figure the guy can't bee too smart if he watches Fox News, and he agreed. He suggested I just not talk politics with him. I think I'll look for another plumber (if I can't handle the problem myself). I don't want this screwed up.

What the people inside of Fox News think about their own news is a mystery. There is a possibility they know what they are doing is wrong, but they have no choice. They know the repercussions of them attempting to say full facts would lead to loss of revenue. Fox News was never this Republican leaning until Trump.

Please. Fox News has been a propaganda organ of the GOP since its inception. Now that their viewers are hopelessly hooked on the crazy they can't back away from it & have doubled down instead. As Jerry Springer once pointed out, "Crap sells". It's the Fox business model.

Biden is a lot easier to keep an eye on with what he says. Mainly, because he doesn't say anything and when he does, it always end mid thought with "you know the rest.".

This is why I resist the temptation to ever watch Fox News. I used to watch a fair amount just to keep up on what they were saying, but the dishonesty was pissing me off on such a regular basis that I decided to only keep updated from time to time. The problem was, every time I turned in, even for 5 minutes, I was assaulted by torrents of lies.

Last time was about 2 years ago. I tuned into Hannity and watched for 10 minutes. He was saying that the mainstream media was reporting that the Russians had hacked our voting machines in 2016 and turned the election for Trump, which of course would have been false, if they had been reporting it.

He flashed a bunch of headlines on the screen which he claimed implied this. He particularly highlighted a Newsweek article, arguing that the headline strongly implied it. I didn't think so. So I Googled up every one of the actual articles, starting with Newsweek. In the very first paragraph, the article stated "there is no evidence that Russia obtained access to any system which would have allowed tampering with vote totals." Every other article prominently said the same thing, some having stated it several times. Hannity did not mention this.

That was my last time. Life is too short for me to waste my time on propaganda. The mainstream media does have its own biases, but Fox News is just pure fiction. And another aspect of this is that they lie about what is and is not being reported in the mainstream press. No wonder their viewers don't trust it.
