"because the filters can be circumvented easily with just one click."

Took me 5 clicks

really? took me 3 lol

Extras, Preferences, Off, Save, Confirm

It can be done in three clicks if you search for the dirty vids first. MS tells you that some results are blocked... and would like to change that?

Click Yes

Click Off

Click Confirm

I think... maybe it was 4

So how long before porn producers start suing Microsoft for helping people pirate their shit...

LOL....i'd like to see who would win...I'd think that MS would just drag it out until they run out of money. I am willing to bet teh Bill Gates is worth more than the whole porn industry.

It's actually pretty funny if you think about it... Microsoft can't beat Google's technology when it comes to search... so they gotta include porn into the equation

Hopefully google comes with an even better alternative 😀

free passes😉

Gotta love Fox's take on this: 'OMG children might see a vagina!'

I've always wondered if we could view dirty pictures at work through google images, never dared try it though. I have to imagine that the entire Bing video search engine will be off limits.

it's easy enough to get through a work filter anyways. remote desktop to your home computer, or use your home computer as a proxy. either way...

when i was in HS, the HS did all their websense filtering at a proxy that was outside of the school network. so bypassing the proxy was a simple matter of deleting the proxy info from the internet settings. dumbest network ever.

Did the overprotective people at the Bing team turn this off? Censorship Nazis.

Under Extras and Preference I only see the following:
General settings: Display
Web settings: # of results shown; language

Um, it's RIGHT THERE on the search page.

I really like bing.com!

I do wonder how those wonderful websense administrators are going to deal with this and if MS is going to get any backlash from this.

Interesting, I couldn't figure out how to change Safe Search settings. Then I realized it detected (correctly) my region as 'India'. Setting it to 'United States' turned up the Safe Search settings option.

MS don't care about Indian people. :|

I don't think Indians need help in that department, considering there are 1.1 Billion of them. 😛

For anything to be accepted, you have to work the porn angle.

Video cameras- meh.
Video cameras small enough to film sex - HIT!

Cell phones - meh.
Cell phones with camera to take pics/video of sex - HIT!

Internet - meh.
Internet with porn sites - HIT!

Youtube - meh
Youtube with porn - HIT!
Youtube after porn was removed - still populated by people searching for porn on it

Google is now doomed.

I think that the opposite would be true then, that they should set the standard to "safe search" options off. Maybe then they'll stop fucking like rabbits 😛
