WTF!!

The last gazillion stories I remember about people objecting to Halloweem were the Fundamentalist Christians. Something about Pagan worship.

Well those good ole' boys at Fox in their continuing saga about the "Liberal" war on our sacred traditions we have Halloween, since its too early for Christmas (I'm sure that will start soon)

Totally ignoring the Christian objection to Halloween the folks at Fox just decided to change the antagonists to immigrants, poor people and PC teachers. They brought on some conservative hack who said "I can't recall any group objecting to Halloween before"

This would be completely laughable if there weren't so many gullable people in their audience.

Having spent sometime in the Bible Belt and knowing the locals religious propensities as well as their unfortunate fixation on Faux, I find this story absolutely fucking hilarious!

Yet again I'm marveling at the level of detachment from reality displayed by Faux.

I want to see some reporter go to one of the "Halloween Free" neighborhoods so common in the Florida panhandle this time of year and have a resident explain how it's really been the liberals all these years demonizing a good ol American holiday.

Probably not since they weren't talking about this at all.

I think they were trying to say that since some people couldn't afford costumes then a school had banned Halloween for all. They were trying to point out the uber PC bs but it didn't sound like any attack on Halloween to me.

It has always baffled me why hardcore Christians are like that. Are they so insecure in their own faith that they think celebrating a silly holiday like Halloween will undermine it and cause people to turn away?

Fox runs stories like that every year in the week before halloween. I had the misfortune of seeing one a few years back when I was still dumb enough to monitor the crap being spewed by the controlled corporate media. Pretty sure CNN does it too. Of all the garbage these stations put out, this is probably on the more benign side.
