The worst part of this thread is that it is a few weeks too late.
Funny how the whole "Ground Zero Mosque" issue has practically disappeared shortly after this info was first exposed.

Have we forgotten the lessons of 9/11?
IMHO The House of Saud can eat shit and die, no exceptions. I'm not sure why the Right isn't onboard with jettisoning these fuckers from our BFF list.

IMHO The House of Saud can eat shit and die, no exceptions. I'm not sure why the Right isn't onboard with jettisoning these fuckers from our BFF list. They provided funding for the 9/11 attacks, the attackers were almost all Saudi's, they are serial abusers of human rights, etc, etc, etc. Saudi royals were and probably still are aiding our enemies in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We've fought or are still fighting 3 wars due to the Saudi's. GW1 was to protect them from getting steamrolled by Saddam(causing AQ and Bin Laden to get started), GW2 was to basically finish the job and prevent Saddam or Iraq ever threatening SA or Israel, and lastly Afghanistan which is the result of the 9/11 attacks..bringing us back to GW1 as the root cause.
I firmly believe that our preferential treatment of Israel is damaging to our relationships in the Muslim world, but our relationship and protection of these criminals in Saudi Arabia is actually much worse.
The stupidity and hyprocrisy is large in this thread.
Well I suppose that would be responsible for the kind and respectful way they address Islam.First off, yeah, the Saudis own a lot of stock in alot of companies. BUT they are the second LARGEST shareholder in News Corp. Huge freakin difference. Plus Fox News is the single largest influence on American politics there is. So stop trying to say their ownership of Fox is inconsequential.
Second, look at what the US has done for the Saudi's recently. Took out their mortal enemy Saddam. And now we have 50,000 troops a stones throw from Saudi Arabia in Iraq. Coincidence that right after the Saudis were getting heat from their so called arab brothers about US troops on their soil, we found a really neat place to place them.
Third. Saudi Arabia is the number one financer of terrorism. Or to be more specific Islamic terrorists. Yet, they have managed to convince America they are the "good" guys! The "moderate" Muslims. Despite their country being one of the most radical and repressive regimes in the Arab world.
Fourth. You think that kind of p.r. comes cheap? And if the Saudis are the largest shareholder after Murdoch, that makes them immensely powerful. Put 5 percent of the stock on the market and the share price plummets.
Fifth. If the Saudis owned 5 percent of CNN or MSNBC it would 24 hour non stop news on Fox. Like forever.
Civility prohibits mentioning where that mostly lies.
Well I suppose that would be responsible for the kind and respectful way they address Islam.
That's awesome that you connected this to Fox. Hilarious, but awesome.
And that's why Obama has sent the troops in. Oh no he didn't.
I don't happen to like the Saudi society. No that's a strong understatement, but guess what? Who has the money and influence? The people with oil. Who is that? Guess!
The other thing is this. If stock is available for purchase and it is legal for the Saudis to purchase it, how would one prevent it? Harsh language?
Definitely the reason O'Reilly decided to convert. I mean in some aspect of the multiverse.
Let's see the reasoning here. Fox beats up on Muslims. Muslims hold a stake in Fox. Fox keeps beating up on Muslims. Yep, they have good PR. I think they should ask for their money back.
Now that I can believe. I also can believe that you are pissed that they didn't invest in MSNBC, where you would be congratulating them on working towards integrating into modern society, but that goes back to my initial remarks which I'm to polite to bring up again.
Civility and politeness are popular with the ladies I'll grant you, but I'll pull out my man card for you: Techs, if stupidity contained mass, your density would bend light.
Rupert Murdoch is in love with bin Talal
Is that what 5% control of a corporation gives you?Rupert Murdoch is in love with bin Talal

One word: Oil. Until we are off of foreign oil, expect the Saudis to be our best friends. Unless maybe you take the progressive view, just make oil too expensive for anyone but the elite. Then the Saudis can revert to their true feelings of hatred for the West - and the progressives can make them our new BFF for THAT.
a few weeks too late? this was covered right here in this forum back when john stewart first pointed it out weeks ago. you probably posted in it. this is a repost.

I see hate of Muslims, i see deals made with Muslims so extreme that they would rather let young girls burn to death slowly than to let them out when not properly clothed.
And i see a lot of apologies from hypocrites who are such hypocrites that they can even delude themselves into not being hypocrites.
Tomorrow, they'll hate them again, next day not, that is bad this is good or maybe it is bad now and i'll change my mind depending on what my party says....
My personal opinion, well we saw what 8 Saudis could do, now we'll see what they can do when properly armed.
You're on your own on this one US.
Yea let's make a law saying Muslims can't buy certain publicly traded stocks.
But like someone stated before, he also owns CNN and ABC. He probably doesn't even fucking manage the fund lol.
Selling weapons to a nation which is founded on Wahabbism which lead to the creation of Al Qaeda is not the same as refusing stock trade to individual Muslims.
I'm not surprised you don't get the difference though, your intellect is far below what i would consider "human" in the first place, primate.
