Fox is enjoyable because they don't even try to hide the fact that they are biased. Even when they say they are they look like they are about ready to burst out laughing and say "NOT!"

That is true. I think they should change their advert to "We Report, We Decide."

lets see

liberals like CNN

conservatives like FOX

what was the question?

what? this quote seems to indicate that she supports the President's position
Jan. 17 ? National security adviser Condoleezza Rice took a rare central role in a domestic debate within the White House and helped persuade President Bush to publicly condemn race-conscious admissions policies at the University of Michigan, administration officials said yesterday.

another quote

Rice, the first female national security adviser, told Bush that she worked to increase the number of African American faculty members at Stanford but that she was ?absolutely opposed to quotas,? a senior administration official said.

FoBoT, while I'm a republican and I'm relatively conservative when it comes to some issues, the fact is the 'liberals' you guys talk about are much more progressive and smarter than 'conservatives.' The vast majority of the educational system and other institutes are full of 'liberals.' Let's not forget that the 'liberal' republican party was the one that fought against slaverly in the 19th century.

So, the word 'liberal' isn't so bad after all. I'd rather watch a channel that gets the views on all sides than one that is explicitly bias.

Edit: Great comeback, red dawn.
FoBoT, look at the transcript from her interview yesterday on ABC.

Good point. It's what their position on a specific issue that matters, not their label. Republicans are pro-choice in great number of issues than the Dems.

i will check out the ABC interview, is she saying two different things? seems to me she either agrees with the presidents position or not, but i will go read the other stuff

I'm sure this is why CNN gets awards for being the most trusted news source.
Awards? From whom?

Obviously not from the ignorant who only see the world as right-wing and wrong.

rice has specifically said she is againste the policay used at UM. theres a difference between being "for AA" and for specific AA programs/policys. most people like to define AA as providing opportunity, but when it gets down to specific examples of "AA" theyll speak out against it. thats why bush created his affirmative access program in texas.

On another note, fox was relatively quiet when it came to the trent lott affair.

thats because the trent lott issue was way overblown. geesh the guy was simply being nice at a mans 100th b-day party and he gets reemed for it! furthermore i saw them talk about it on hannity and colmes, so its not as if they didnt talk about the issue

*sigh* This thread illustrates so clearly why two-party politics will be the death of this country... :frown:

Am I the only one that watches the fox news channel for entertainment and CNN for real news with real guests.

Nope. Fox news is no doubt entertaining but I wouldn't go so far as to call it "news".

In the mind of those who control what Fox reports. The funny thing is that Republicans had as much if not more negative to say about his poorly chosen words as did the Democrats. Of course reporting about a rift in the Republican party would be totally against what FOX is trying to convey.

FOX news is nearly all entertainment and opinion. Their "news", what little there is actually there, is almost exclusively delivered by an unseen person via voice in between opinion shows. FOX even has a show where a bunch of journalists critique other journalists. They revel in their self importance.

CNN, or the Celebrity News Network, exist primarly to convince you of Hollywood's important role in the world today. CNN is so far up Hollywood's ass Rudi Bakhtiar could probably tell you what Jane Fonda had for breakfast. Far too much of that 24-hour "news" channel is devoted to the antics of Californicators. Huge time waste. Lou Dobbs doesn't bother me though.

All TV news focuses on stories that bring in the most ratings, regardless of reasonable merit of said stories. Only in the print media can you learn what's truly going on out there.

No, I prefer to watch the BBC when I can. They actually report the news without using sensationalism to get ratings. And I a US Citizen and have lived here my whole life.

I do have to admit that I watch the BBC as well. Since I get every channel from Time Warner Cable (for free), I also watch the chinese and french news channels when they're available in english.
