I got 140us for spending on a new VC, the thing is I can only order from amazon, and the best I could found was a EVGA 8800gts 320mg for 130us used, and a PNY 9600gt 512mg (256bit) at 140us new. So, I mostly play games at 1280x1024 like crysis, witcher, gears of war, condemend, GTA, halflife etc, I've been playing crysis with a couple of highs and 0 lows and getting 8-20fps, playable for me, but you know, time for a change.

The rest of your rig will really hold you back.... but 9600GT is best bet

Why can you only order from Amazon?

I live in the Dominican Republic, so I have credict card limitation (for example I can't order from newegg cause they don't take CC from outside the states).

A pentium d @ 3.8 ghz really isn't gonna hold him back that much. Definitely go with the 9600GT though.

If you can find a decently priced 3870 nearby then go for it, the 3870 beats the 9600GT in the majority of tests and is a solid performer. However with the new cards on the way you might want to hold off, either a new card will be released in the same price bracket or the more expensive cards right now will fall into you're price bracket.

They have the VisionTek HD3870 OC edition priced @ $130.00 @ Best Buy. I purchased one. Couldn't pass that up as for the price.

that's good to hear; but how long? I could wait 3 or 4 weeks. And the offer of bestbuy was good, but sold out.
