Thanks for this. I read many blogs, and many of them are hosted on Wordpress. Is there a way for the visitors to protect themselves from this bug?

Wordpress fixed the issue in 4.0.

I use the NoScript addon for Firfox, Pale Moon and Cyberfox and allow base 2nd level domains by default to help the cumbersomeness. I also use Sandboxie configured to access the bookmarks and profile at reduced security but less cumbersomeness. Sandboxie is also configured to delete contents on browser exit. In addition to all that I run Bitdefender Free and when Bitdefender Free finds something on the net it will block the page and ask if you want to enter at your own risk.

That's just a few things I do. Add a splash of Untangle, IPtables in the router and Comodo Firewall.
