quitting pot got me off my ass and let me get more thing accomplished.

if you are lazy, quit smoking the pot.....

(i was a smoker for about seven years, and always "enjoyed" smoking).

I dunno, a smoking chic isn't necessarily any more attractive. No offence meant. If you stop smoking, you can probably exercise more because of improved lung function, so you wouldn't necessarily gain weight. If you didn't get fat when you had your kids, you'll probably do just fine.

I am 5 ft 9 and range between 135-140,I eat lightly and exercise regularly. At age 46,I have no intention of risking the increased vengance of the fat demons.

I'd say there is 1 notch below a fat chick. It's any chick smoking a cigarette.

Kissing a heavy smoker is just nasty.

Great!

One more year of smoking for me (six so far) and I'll be ready to quit too!

Congratulations... four months is ...great self-control to say the least 🙂

You're the perfect weight for your height. Don't sweat it, you would do just fine stopping smoking. You seem to be very disciplined.

Actually the "perfect weight " for my height is probably under 120 but getting there at my age is proving to require the giving up of a lot more than it did when I was younger.Too bad we can't buy self control in the drugstore eh?

I smoke like a chimney to help keep my appetite down. Hey it works! Plus I like it, and once i get to my optimal weight/body fat i'll quit.

i kept on setting these goals and scenarios that if they happen, i would quit.

then one day, BAM I quit and haven't looked back since.

(for me it was harder because about 90% of my friends smoke I was also a pack a day at the end)

if i can quit, anybody can quit. stop running.

When hunger pangs hit nothing kills them faster than coffee(sans sugar) and a smoke.

Fish fool around in water and you expect me to drink it? 😛

Btw,if quitting were an easy thing I'd do it in a heatbeat, trust me when I say that smoking is a worse addiction than any illicit drug could ever be.

Do you know what happens to coffee beans? :Q

Seriously, a 1/2 gallon of water/day should be the norm.
