Red Squirrel

No Lifer
It was very dead, but it's the first bug I find since I bought a DSLR a couple months ago, so I decided to take a couple macro shots for your enjoyment.

PEW PEW PEW! LASERS!!1!!

But I wanted to get closer...

Dat fat ass!

It actually looks kind of cute...

That GPU is dirtier than you think...

Sweet dreams.

I'll have whatever you've been having.

you have a D700 and all you can find to shoot is airwigs??

No but I've been itching for some bug macro shots. Finally found a bug. Not that I was going around looking for em, just happened to run across it when I moved something. Unfortunately most of the legs broke when I went to pick it up. 😛

But honestly, there's not much to shoot in winter, snow gets kind of old and fingers freeze fast at -30 and colder. I'm hoping we get a quick heat wave followed by a freezing though, so it makes all the trees go white.

what lens are you using? the exif data doesn't have it. either the editing software altered it or more likely you're using an adapted lens or some extender which doesn't pass aperture and other lens info.

and yes, i'll admit i'm jealous of the full frame camera. 🙂

It's a 18-105 kit lens, backwards. (set to 18). So far it's the best zoom I can get, I bought various add-ons and stuff but they were not as great. I'm not big enough into this to be spending any big money on lenses and stuff though, so I've been mostly messing around with various adapters and stuff like that. Can only really get that stuff through ebay though so it's a long process to wait for stuff.
