step 1: get monitor
step 2:
step 3: profit! (folding@home)

honestly, first step... borrow, steal, or otherwise get a monitor to make sure it's really working

The monitor connector on it is (probably) 13W3. You can get a VGA adapter for it, but 19-21" 13W3 monitors are very cheap if you can find one local. Around here, 21" Sun 13W3 monitors are less than the price of the adapter, because the monitors won't work with regular PCs.

What are you going to be able to run on it? Linux or IRIX. :)

Schadenfroh,

That's a 13W3 connection on the back. PC Monitor adapter on Ebay

I use one of those to drive a PC monitor from my SGI Indigo2 (big brother of the Indy). I used to be an SGI guru during their heydays in the late 80's / early 90's.

Texas A&M maintains a great set of FAQ on the SGI systems... here.

If you have more questions, send me a PM.

thats a cool and quiet system. It is problably running a version of Irix. I have an indigo2 which is a couple of steps up from that, they are cool to lean unix on and code and stuff. You should check ebay for a monitor if you have one, i have always found the adapters to not work on any of the monitors that i have used, but you can try.
BTW i have an indigo 2
256ram
4gig hd
irix 6.5
200 mips cpu
