Just wondering what the best course of action is regarding getting these back to the owner. It has a keyless entry, the main car key (Ford)(looks like a newer model key) and three other erroneous keys on it.

what should I do?

Walk outside and press the alarm key to see if that cars alarm goes off. Stand by the car until the owner comes out.

Walk outside and press the alarm key to see if that cars alarm goes off. Take the car for a joyride until the owner comes out.

I was going to post that as option #2 but realized that it is a Ford...

Post a note outside saying you have found some keys and your contact info. Do NOT describe the keys in the note.

When someone contacts you ask them to describe the keys. If they do so correctly, give them the keys.

Or give them to the Apt Management.

Get license plate number of the car. Go to apartment manager and give them the license plate number with the keys. They should be able to handle the rest.

1. Put them on ebay
2. Put a note on the car with the link to the auction
3. Have some friends bid on the auction
4. Profit!

I would put a note describing the keys in a common area: Keys found. Made of metal, appear to be jagged on two of the sides per key. On a metal ring.

Are you sure that there are erroneous keys on the ring? How do you know they're erroneous?

Do that, but instead, when you've found the car, stick a note on it saying you found the car's keys, and that the owner of the keys can pick them up at your place, providing he or she can prove it's their car.
