it's a decent back up device. LTE ISIS compatible.
It's not the quickest but it gets the job done.

My initial question was looking for a decent cheap android device I could use with the $30/mo Walmart 100 min, unlimited text, 5GB plan for some limited wifi hotspot with our two Nooks and three laptops. Gets here Tuesday it looks like, next step wading through activation (starting a thread about that soon).

This is our first smart phone, but I also may get the next Nexus phone, or a 5 if deals show up.

For activation, buy the TMobile SIM card online on their website (these are often on sale for $1 or even free), and activate the plan online as well. It's really easy.

Got the phone, got the $30 Walmart plan, so far phone is dandy and .....

It appears after updating software from Tmobile that there is no extra charge or hiding program needed to use this phone as a wifi HotSpot. Sign in page at Tmobile came up along with a thing saying use as a hotspot requires different service plan, but haven't seen it since and brief checking of email and surfing a few sites no issues.
