I am a 32 yo male and recently found a lump in my chest area , on my right side , right about halfway up my ribcage. Its about the size of a silver dollar , not really thick but it feels wierd because you can move it around. Maybe its just some fatty tissue or something? What could it be? Should I be concerned?

get it looked at. it could be a cyst. benign. it could be something else.... like, a batch of roach larvae!

Definitely get it checked out...it's worth the piece of mind even if turns out to be nothing too serious like a cyst or something.

I agree, not going to the doctor has no benefit. You'll either find out it's nothing, or something to take care of. Either way, I'd want to know. If it is something, it won't go away on its own. It'll only get worse. More than likely it is nothing, and you'll feel better to know it.

yes..it could be what is called a "lipoma" they are very common and often benign. fatty deposits build around a specified area and cause the lump...

is it painful...and woot for my 1000th post!!!!!

I vote cyst. 2 of my friends both had this when they were 20. The doctor told one not to work out for 6 months and it went away. The other friend had it surgically removed.
