CVSiN: another 'suck' for you - People that think they can give an accurate review of a game after playing it for only 2 hours.

Forza already has more going for it than GT4: #1) online play, #2) damage modeling, #3) no jaggies and of course #n) Ferraris.

I absolutely cannot wait for Tuesday to roll around so I can finally play Forza. I've been wanting a good console sim racer since GT2. I don't own a PS2 so I haven't had much in the way of options. I did some dabbling in NASCAR 2003 (and ultimately plan to go back to that and race competitively in leagues with a friend of mine) but Forza has been in the back (and sometimes front, hehe) of my mind since I first heard about it. I hope the game is good enough with just the controller... I've already got a wheel for Gamecube that I don't use and a wheel for my computer.

Oh, no not logitech. It's by Fanatec called the Speedster 3 Forceshock. Probably going to run about $150.
this looks hardcore ... hopefully ebay will come through...

My understanding is the Fanatec is the first and only XBox peripheral to offer true force feedback (as opposed to simple vibration), and there was a lot of dispute before its announcement whether the XBox platform even supported FF. If you're getting a wheel for Forza, this clearly seems like the one, but I'd wait for reviews before I'd lay out that kind of cake (and, honestly, I probably wouldn't anyway).

This coming from some one who's driven all the cars in the game in real life? Or from a MS XBox fanboy?

it's from a guy who can't spell "buy" and doesn't know that ps3 is not out
Also from a guy who is stupid enough to even consider GT4 not realistic enough for him. XBOX fanboy indeed.

just so you know

GT4's nurburgring >>>>> PG2 + Forza's nurburgring

Yep, nothing cannot beat what the GT4 development team did with the tracks... insane.

Maybe GT5. 😎

So that makes you a PS2 fanboy?

It's already out in Europe? Bull$hit. The game is developed and published in the United States. We would get it first.

When was the last time the Japs got a game they developed after we did?

GT4 is realistic. Especially the damage model.

It may be an option in later builds, but currently, Forza Motorsport does not allow gamers to adjust any of the peripheral?s parameters like TOCA Race Driver 2. Therefore, this build (and possibly the final version of the game) is nearly unplayable with the Logitech NASCAR Wheel, the worst of the bunch in fact. You will need to seek out other options for a Forza wheel if options aren?t put in place to further set up the peripheral of choice. Better yet, keep your fingers crossed for a wheel that is more suited for a sim-type game such as Forza Motorsport; one with a better racing feel and with greater set-up options (a pipe dream perhaps).

HOW stupid to have a sim racing game with no adjustments for a steering wheel?! WHAT were they thinking?

That would p!ss me off about GT series if they didn't include that also...

Koing

<- waiting for GT4.5 or 5 to be online 😛

The only thing that a pirated PAL version of Forza means is that the pirates over in Europe are faster than the pirates over here. It doesnt mean it was released in Europe yet.

Confused: I was using Japan to make a point. The two biggest game markets are Japan and the US... we both make a ton of games and we both released them in our own country before others.

I want to know whether I can use teh Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel on the Xbox with this...I bought it for use on the PC (as it's USB) and if I ever got GT4 (which I haven't yet) and it's difficult enough to store this one, let alone another one just for Xbox...!

How do you propose you connect USB to the XBOX console ? Is there an adapter ?

Considering the Xbox plugs are nothing more than bulkier USB anyhow - yes, yes there is. 🙂

They released a USB adapter when PSO came out on the xbox, unfortunately I got it to use my keyboard for other games (instead of onscreen crap) and it didnt work 🙁 I dont know about the steering wheels though

GT4 is not even close to realistic.. its still a stupid game on a outdated console...
I dont expect Forza to be any different except maybe sharper grafics.. but its still a game...
you want REAL go freaking to a race track and drive...

anything said about OMFG this GAMZ0r~ is soo freaking Realz~ makes me look at you people as freaking idiotic morons...
its a game .. is it fun? ok thats why you buy it... not becasue so and so says its UBER realistic~!
as nothing.. nothing except a full car simulation set up like a multi million dollar Commercial/Military flight simulator or the real thing will truely give you the impression of reality...
