Forza Racing Rocks!

just got done playing it fora few hours. it has improved imensly since the demo the released a while back. the cars behave very realistically and the phsyics feel pretty dead on. I know i'll be first in line on tuesday to get this gem can't wait to try online play

I find it funny that you're playing it already when the release date is next Tuesday. Someone is doing something illegal somewhere... either breaking street dates, or downloading it off the interweb.

In any event, I'm glad to hear it's good. I wont be picking it up for a while though, I'm hooked into City of Heros for now.

I will be getting Forza, but not for a while.

I still haven't played GT4 more than a handful of times and I've had it for around 2 months.

I've been playing GT4 quite a bit. Awesome game! The Logitech force feedback wheel is a must have for any driving game IMO. Great combo.

I haven't played Forza but I can't see it being a whole lot better than GT4.

Oh, no not logitech. It's by Fanatec called the Speedster 3 Forceshock. Probably going to run about $150.

I gotta go in 5 min so here is my 5 min review of forza motorsport after playing with it for 2 hours.

8 out of 10.

Impressive number of cars( didnt count but there is a lot) , not as much as GT4 but enough to satisfy me AND THERE IS FERRARI'S IN THIS GAMES!!! 😀

The number of tracks tho really dissapointed me.You have like 16 tracks with extension( NY 1, NY2, ROAD ATLANTA 1, ROAD ATLANTA 2....) to give you a feeling of having 40 track like.Nurburgring totally rock in forza!But again, im really dissapointed with the numbers of tracks.

Graphics? They are ok.Not as impressive than GT4 but at least you dont see all those jaggies( but FPS of the game is cap at 30fps )

Physics? Hell yeah physics are very good.Way better than the crappy demo we all tried.

So should you buy it?Yes if you dont have a PS2 and gt4.Rent it first tho if you have both system, u might enjoy a bit more GT4.

Saw the hi-res video in the other thread.

The backgrounds are a tad better than GT4. Cars look similar.
Sounds are a bit better as well (GT4 engine sounds are WEAK!).

Car damage does nothing for me. Personally, after seeing the video, I'm glad GT4 doesn't have damage. It doesn't add much to the gameplay itself.

Just found this teamxbox review for the Logitech wheel:

It may be an option in later builds, but currently, Forza Motorsport does not allow gamers to adjust any of the peripheral?s parameters like TOCA Race Driver 2. Therefore, this build (and possibly the final version of the game) is nearly unplayable with the Logitech NASCAR Wheel, the worst of the bunch in fact. You will need to seek out other options for a Forza wheel if options aren?t put in place to further set up the peripheral of choice. Better yet, keep your fingers crossed for a wheel that is more suited for a sim-type game such as Forza Motorsport; one with a better racing feel and with greater set-up options (a pipe dream perhaps).
