Scooped it for XBone last night after work, didn't feel like dealing with any of the PC nonsense that a large percentage of users were complaining about...

It is really great though! After Horizon 2, which felt like an add-on, this was much appreciated. I really like the level of customization/personalization and how you can control which types of events you want to do. JDM and muscle in surfer's paradise for a few hours... followed by some outback romps in the Nomad or trophy truck? YES, and YES-ER.

It really has everything, and is plenty challenging when you want it to be. Unlike previous games where I would literally just dominate everything, I am finding a good balance between 1st place and a silver or bronze here and there. Mega fun though; I haven't had this much with an open world racing game since The Crew! ...just kidding that game was absolutely awful, but I liked FH1 and before that... Burnout Paradise nearly a decade ago. Except unlike burnout in FH3 you can just drive wherever. Even drove my land rover straight off a cliff not even considering that was possible.

Also, while the game was installing I watched some upcoming trailers. Anyone going to try Gears 4 or Titanfall 2?

I might get Gears 4, haven't decided. The campaign in Gears 3 was a giant letdown, so I never got Judgment, and while I loved playing the multiplayer in the first one, I barely touched it in the second and never tried it in the third. That, and Horde's not my bag (never been a wave mode fan). I have a friend who might get it, and if he decides to, so will I. Then we can finally be away from Halo 5 and its suck.

I doubt I touch Titanfall 2, though. If it's ever in EA Access, I'd probably try it. However, the first wasn't good enough to warrant buying the second. I loved playing as a Titan, and the wall running was really well done (unlike the mess in CoD), but the Aim Assist/hit detection is disgustingly bad, it wasn't that balanced, and the map designs weren't good (too narrow for Titans, too spacious for Pilots). The gunplay's just bad in Titanfall, even worse than CoD.

I don't really remember much of Gears 3's campaign... guess that means it wasn't great. I think I played Judgment with a friend for maybe an hour or two before we got bored. Never tried Titanfall...

Been playing with Forza and there's a few things that bug me about it, as I got deeper in. For one thing, those terrible short city tracks are back; the AI drivers go from being constantly in the way to rear ending me whenever I need to take a sharp corner. Super annoying. Also, the traffic patters (both AI and Drivatar vehicles) seem to switch between:

A. being not much of a problem

and

B. being intentionally placed just to sabotage and **** up my entire world

Still a great game though; there are many ways to cheat the system though. For example, right after I initiated a head-to-head CR boost event I e-brake'd a tight 135 degrees and b-lined it across a random field to get to where the finish point was. Easiest earned 50,000CR ever, race was over in maybe 10 seconds.

Lastly, the map. I really like it but a lot of the areas are a little bland and don't "flow" very nicely, while others feel cramped and tight. I do like the freedom of being able to drive almost anywhere, but the first Horizon's Colorado map was amazing; it just flowed nicely from one region to another.

FH3 is definitely a good game though and I'll keep playing for awhile.

I haven't had that issue with the traffic. I've been hit but you definitely need to avoid them and I notice less traffic than previous games.
