Reviews are out on the game already, and they're looking pretty good. Got my copy pre-ordered at Gamestop to get that toy lambo with it.

I haven't played racing games much lately, but have been getting my son his yearly Forza fix for a while now as racers are all he plays. However, the demo is pretty damn fun, so I might be diving into this myself.

Anyone else picking it up?
 
I haven't heard much about it other than seeing some commercial the other day but I'm guessing it is just more of the same. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing though. I hope that they do something to vary it a bit more though. Part 2 got repetitive as far as the goals for each spot pretty quickly.
 
I played the demo yesterday on my xbox one S. I never played any of the Forza games before (I'm more into the NFS series even though the last few sucked), but I might pick this up once the price drops a little bit.
 
I'll be getting it. I wasn't too fond of FH2 when I rented it, as the setting was really dull. It was pretty, but not really fun. I love that this one has a bunch of terrain styles in Australia, so I consider that a big step up. I still wish they'd move closer to an arcade experience, letting us drive like it's Need for Speed, but given how bad that franchise has been for almost a decade, I'm more than happy with FH3. I'll be pre-ordering at Best Buy, so I can get the GCU discount. I guess the controller stand is nice, but the skin is stupid. On the one hand, I wish we got a special controller, but on the other, MS has completely blown it with the XB1's controller build quality. I'm sick of crappy left sticks that collapse into the body after a few months.
 
I'm definitely getting it. Forza games are the main reason I own an Xbox. Reviews looks great. Can't wait to play it.
 
I did forget that this one has a lot more off road racing. I will probably pick it up at some point I just don't have time to play it right now. I have hardly had time to even play SF5 🙁
 
They seem to have really stepped up on world detail, the offroading looks so good.

I won't be buying this game right away, just got PES 2017 and FIFA 17 to keep me occupied for a while (since I'm skipping NHL this year) and I still have stuff to finish up in the existing Forza's.

Same, all I play on my XB1 are racing games since I have a wheel that's compatible with it.
 
Think they'll be doing any kind of xbox 1s bundle with this? I need a bluray player and was thinking about picking up an xbox 1s, but don't care for any of the current game bundles.
 
I think they'd have made a bundle for it by now, if they intended to do one at all. You could always try selling the game(s) in one of the other bundles to partially pay for FH3, if you wanted.
 
Xbox One is awful for a bluray player just FYI. I'd rather get a cheapo $50 player than use the Xbox One as a primary bluray player.

I gotta agree, one of the stand alone BD players on sale somewhere would still be better than a console for that task. I guess they work but the interface is not good, they are kind of slow, the xbox won't bitstream etc.
 
I liked the first Forza Horizon a lot, but the second installment was a little boring for me. I HATE those short little circuit tracks that take less than a minute to complete one lap. Terrible.

I will definitely try this one on Xbox, especially since the only other game I've played on it is Forza 6.
 
Well, they have a demo for FH3 up on XB1 now. Worth giving a go, I was much more impressed with it than its predecessor as well.

Yup, that's why I use my PS4 for Blu-ray playback. I just don't like the UI of the Xbone.
 
The ads seem to indicate much emphasis on dirt and off-road driving. I didn't really like it in FH2. Not sure I will like it any more in FH3.
On the positive side, the graphics look way more detailed and there appears to be more lively npc traffic. Not sure about this one.
 
I wouldn't buy it for full price but did because of the Amazon new release perk at $48. At that price, it's worth a try. Liked FH2 but a bit short.
 
Just played the demo. I really liked it. It's pretty much exactly more of the same but it's still fun. Graphics are noticeably better. Doubt I'll get it any time soon though just don't have time to grind in it.
 
Target has the game for $20. Not sure if it is a price mistake or not but I already got one email code. You can also add the vip pass to your cart and get both for $30. Hurry because this deal has already hit front page on slickdeals.net.

After I ordered I got a order delayed email but the key was sent 20 minutes after that email.

Edit: It looks like the deal is now dead. Many reports of the normal price showing and people late to the game getting cancelled orders. I just hope they don't revoke the keys like MS did with the free price mistake for Fallout 4.
 
My brother in law ordered like 5 minutes after I did and said his order was cancelled, I don't have a cancelation email yet but I'm expecting one.
