hey Blovtor, can you also add our new comers to your friend list? since me and you can't be in the same room we might need it to invite people.

Have you confirmed that the two of you still can't be in the same room in FM3?

I'll be there tonight, haven't yet purchased the car.

*edit* who's this Blovtor guy you speak of?

Wow, Turn10 buggered the storefront system really badly. There is no way to access your friends' storefronts. I had to search for the keyword "Anandtech," which linked me to Kabob's vinyl group. From there I accessed Kabob's storefront, added him as a favorite, and then was able to view all of HIS friends and favorites and add them as my own favorites.

They did such a good job with the rest of the game; I'm surprised they made the storefront navigation so awful.

Yes there is. Go to "My Storefront" and then hit "Y." There's an option to view your friend's storefronts.

Not as direct as I'd have liked but it's not too much of a hassle.

Another stupid question for you guys. It seems to me that when I view leaderboards and do hotlaps to be your guys times on the leaderboard, it works fine. But oddly enough, when I view just my stuff, I can only see my fastest time for whatever car it was. I don't get to see all of my cars times, just my fastest cars time.

In other words, if I run three C class cars and want to compare times between my three cars, I cannot. Once I beat my best time with a new car, my old car times are gone. I hope thats not the case, but it seems like it is. Anyone have some insight on this for me?

Mines either Cuda1337, or Cuda1447. I can't remember which anymore. I think its 1447 though. Kabob or Lotheron might remember? lol

It was after 8 tonight when I got on. My son and I played GOW2 instead. I wasn't sure what time you guys stop playing also.

We need to update the main thread to state "If you wish to join us, please add those to a race that would normally be there every week"

Also, whens the FM3 endurance series starting?

Hmm, well, I definitely have some things to learn. Maybe just need to start making wads of cash. For the moment, I don't have enough money to buy all the best non- or low-PI-increasing upgrades (such as brakes, suspension, clutch, etc.). And there are so many parts available that it's kind of overwhelming. So I've been just doing the auto upgrade, which seems to do a mix of power, handling, and weight reduction upgrades. Probably not the most effective for now. I mean, I placed dead last by a wide margin in our first race, and only avoided repeating that result on the second one because two guys behind me crashed.

Meanwhile, I'm also using an auto transmission and the rewind feature gets some use as well. I've been racing with the line off for single player, but in multiplayer I keep it on. Perhaps once I learn all the tracks I'll be able to turn it off all the time and not have to use rewind.

I do enjoy the game, but I need a lot more time to build up cash and get comfortable with it. It's quite different from 2 and unlike some of you guys, I am not a very hardcore racer. At this point I am not even sure if I prefer Shift or FM3. FM3 has a better framerate, less dodgy driving mechanics, a better interface, and a huge variety of cars, but Shift is more exciting and fun in single player.

race with brake line on, nobody remembers where they need to start breaking in whichever of their car on all the tracks, with all the crash and off roading it will just piss you off in the game. Also if you want money, just race with the easiest components. Fast easy money while you can test the limit of your cars and learn the track. Also you can let us know what track or car you have problem with so we can help. We can send you some tune settings for you to try out. I already got 2 A classes tuned to a preferable setting that you can try.

Sounds good... I actually already had my first pic ready.

Lets go up one PI Class and do C425 FF cars. Any car will do, just had to be FF.
