You couldn't be further from the truth. Porsches are good at stopping and cornering, top speed/acceleration has never really been their forte (until the new 911 Turbo was released, 3.2 seconds to 60 changed that). Having a rear mounted engine makes the feeling different, but not worse. Although it is true that if they developed the Cayman it would soon make the 911's obsolete, but they will never do that. 911 is their (and my) lovechild.
Go pick up a copy of Road & Track and flip to the road test statistics page, you'll find most of the fastest slalom speeds are 911's (the GT3 RS held the record for ALL cars until they tested the GT2 last month, which is now the highest) and the GT3 RS was 2nd or 3rd overall for the skidpad (behind the Viper ACR). It's not a horsepower monster, I wanna say the RS is 415 horsepower right now (soon to be closer to 445 with a new DFI upgrade), but it's a very well balanced car.
Now, in Forza world where you can make a 450 horsepower Exige that weighs 1600 lbs it's true, the GT3 RS won't touch it, but in reality in stock form the GT3 RS will outperform both stopping and turning).
Sorry to be so defensive, but we're talking about my dream car here (check my XBL profile
😛 )...someday when I have $130,000 lying around it WILL be mine!!

The GT3 RS isn't necessarily going to be the car to beat, it's just my favorite and I've got a build that I really like. I tested the 997 Turbo and for my driving style I just didn't like it as much, I was only about .3 seconds off my pace with the GT3 RS after only 3 or 4 laps with the Turbo, I could tweak it and make it faster if I put some effort into it (which I very well may do). It'll be a very competitive car though, the GT2 should be as well.
