I was in a room the other night racing R3 @ Nordeliche and there was some tards hiding off the side of the road on the top speed back stretch trying to take us out as we flew by. I wish FM3 had a built in booter, or @ least a way to create a blacklist of GT's not allowed to join your room.

Forza came with my xbox and stories like that and others kept me from even trying to race online until I started reading the previous thread and decided to join the group. I've had a lot of fun racing with the guys here.
 
I don't really have a huge desire to race with the general public. I ran a few races in between our race nights here back when I was trying to earn the achievement for 1 million credits earned racing online. I joined a lobby that was running A class cars and just then, they changed to C class. Apparently, everyone else knew the change was coming and they were able to select their cars quickly. I took all of 10 seconds to pick a car and some of them started whining and telling me to hurry up. I don't do much gaming on XBL but I guess that's the general XBL public for you. Luckily I finished first (take that, suckers!), earned my million with that race, and left.
 
I found a GearBox tune for the S998 Exige so I'll probably be messing around too since tonight is my Friday.
 
I hope I can transfer my Forza 2 credits to Forza 3...it'd pain me to know that all this cash I worked for would be forever stuck to Forza 2!!

Ya know, I was excited about the Race Pro game that's coming out in Feb, but it's sorta worn off and I think I'll just hold out for FM3.

I don't know, that sounds like a longshot. Forza 3 will hopefully be fun to play and earn more money, though.
 
Having trouble tuning this car how I want it. I've got one setup where the car feels good but likes to slide around a little too much for my taste, then I've got a setup that has delivered a very fast time (for me), but feels like I'm driving a board. Where's the happy medium!!

How's everyone else's cars coming?
 
I went home last night and fell asleep on my couch. Sorry guys. Hope you had fun though! And Queasy/Spidey are correct with the lotus differentials. 20% is considered high for those little go-karts. Also, don't trail brake! 🙂
 
Good racing last night guys!! Glad to see a new face (although I thought we'd have more). I am sorta torn on that car...on one side it's extremely quick. I set my fastest lap ever on RA with it (which sorta saddens me as it knocks my favorite car, the Porsche 997 GT3 RS, off of that spot). On the other hand, it's so light and finicky that it gets out of shape QUICK if you don't drive it like it wasnts to be driven (no trail braking, stay off the rumble strips, gas all the way through the turn). It took me a few trial and error tunes with the calc to get it how I liked it, I upped the downforce compensation and stiffened the damping. I tried stiffening the springs and it didn't like that at all. At least with my setup (I forewent the weight reduction in favor of more power).

Some great races last night. I thought I did pretty well at RA both times, did alright at Mugello as well. A few others I WOULD have done well at had I not made one or two errors that killed the race for me. And then there's Suzuka, this track (and sometimes Sebring) is the bane of my existance. I think my best lap had a 12 second penalty on it...I dunno why but I have never been good there.

Yeah, I still love the lotuses. Just love the way they drive. Once you settle in they just stick like glue. But if you mess up the turn in at all you're in for some trouble. I would

1) brake
2) turn-in
3) get on the gas - either feather or maybe 50-60% throttle until past apex.

My girlfriend wanted to play NHL09 with me, or else I would've joined in (I think I had an old exige S998 laying around)

Hopefully one of these weeks I'll have the time to prep a car and actually race with you guys again.
 
We know you don't like us anymore Blort!! I thought you quit because your...ahem... "Summer league softball team" was getting started!
 
The league did start, we played summer and fall leagues, but now the winter league is on sundays.

And how the crap did you remember that? Did you look it up?
